The four star Hilton Templepatrick Hotel and Country Club situated in 220 acres of park and woodland on the Castle Upton Estate, just 15 minutes from Belfast city centre, has purchased a fleet of 10 E-Z-GO RXV golf cars from local dealer, Broderick (Northern Ireland) Ltd. E-Z-GO is a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company. The 18-hole golf course, designed by David Jones and David Feherty, has over 7,000 yards of challenging fairways and greens interspersed with lakes and mature parkland. In 2007 the course hosted the Northern Ireland Open, a key event in the Ladies European Tour and in 2008 was the venue for the Senior British Open Amateur Championship. Eamonn Logue is the Golf Operations Manager at Hilton Templepatrick and comments, “We even have a generator that automatically kicks in when electricity from our supplier is at its peak cost, which again helps with our operating costs. The four-year warranty is very reassuring and we can regulate the maximum speed to suit the course conditions using a bespoke controller. “Their biggest asset, from an operational standpoint, is their contribution to our bottom line. Back in April we had reached our hire fee target by the third week. They are very popular with our guests and very good revenue generators.” |
