Javier Calderon, the Director of Golf at the prestigious Real Sociedad Hipica Espanola Club de Campo, has taken delivery of a fleet of E-Z-GO RXV golf cars from local distributor, Green Mowers. E-Z-GO is a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company.

Initially 40 of the new electric RXV golf cars have been delivered with a further 20 to arrive at a later date. Commenting on the buggies, Javier Calderon said,
“This new RXV is the first golf car to complete two rounds on the North course without recharging. It is an excellent vehicle and is perfect for our requirements here at our club. The new AC drive system is very good and the safety features make it very user friendly for the golfers.”

Situated just 20 minutes drive from the centre of Madrid, the club was formed in 1901 and seven years later was granted royal status. In 1932 it was one of the founder members of the Spanish Golf Federation.

This prestigious 36-hole complex features two courses – North and South, both designed by Robert Von Hagge, and situated in naturally undulating and sometimes hilly terrain. Other facilities include tennis courts, a riding club, swimming pools, a youth club, a summer camp and a golf school. In 2007 the club hosted the Madrid Open European Tour event.
